It begins with a slight nudge, a poke in the chest. I try to brush it off, but it comes around again and the need is greater this time, reset reset reset is humming through me.
June is a funny time; summer is rolling in and the children in the courtyard are consistently outside in the evening, their screams and hollers heard for miles, I’m sure. The hunger to be offline is becoming too great to abstain from any more.
I love writing to you all and I never want to be that writer who sends stuff to you for the sake of keeping to a weekly schedule — that would be doing you (and me) a disservice. I need a break and I think this comes at a perfect time. I have something new to crack into and I need the space to generate those words. At the end of this week, I’ll be in Korea for a holiday and I’m hoping that a change of scenery will give me a nudge of inspiration.
I’ll return at the end of June — hopefully refreshed, and with plenty to sink your teeth into. I’ll still be on Notes, reading comments and Substacks, I can’t be too offline.
Refresh peacefully. May you enjoy every minute of it
Wishing you a good recharge.
