When I first started Kitchen Diaries, I wanted it to be a combination of sharing recipes that I loved, but also a discussion around food and the feelings it ignites within us. I wanted to talk about seasonal produce, why I love certain dishes and the discovery of new ones and what it means to me. Essentially, I feel like I’ve failed you so far. That’s not to say I haven’t loved the 50 recipes I’ve shared with you, I have, but I want it to be more thoughtful. I want the food that I eat and the way I write about it to have more meaning than just a recipe.
So, you’re going to see some changes in this space. For one, Kitchen Diaries will move to a schedule of twice a month, every Wednesday. This allows me more time to think about what I want to write about rather than slap-dash it together. Secondly, it won’t always be a recipe. Sometimes it will be a thought on food and seasons or a snapshot of my morning through a food lens.
