I’m here to say hello and to let you know that I’ll be publishing a little differently this month. I know this newsletter is arriving a day late, there’s no excuse, I just forgot to hit the publish button. Anyways, some small news. While I’m typically quite strict about my schedule, I also need to step away from this writing space every so often to recharge. If I don’t take it, the newsletter starts to become a soul-sucking space and I start to feel bad about it, which makes for an awful situation for you and me.
With the end of the year fast approaching, I’ve become busy. You guys are probably busy. You have things to do, presents to wrap, people to see, dinners to plan, and resolutions to set. Lots of things to get done in the 19 days left of 2022.
To ensure that I can keep on top of everything happening, I’m going on a writing hiatus for the next three weeks, returning the 30th of December to do a yearly round up, our final monthly musings, and maybe some cliché advice about new years.
You’ll still receive a weekly Kitchen Diaries post because December is all about food.
If you’ve not kept up with my newsletter, which is totally fine because who wants to read my emails every single day (me, but call me biased), I’ve listed a few of my favourite ones that I’ve written this year, each with a byline of what it’s about. Take a peruse, if you fancy sharing it on your socials, that would be greatly appreciated, however, if you’re just want to sit back and read it, that’s great too.
If I could - having any dream job, what would it be?
Even if only for a while - on short term habits
In case I forget - why taking photos means so much to me.
all the light in the dark - a fiction piece written for
writing group.Me, myself and my average life - on what it means to feel like you’ve chosen wrong in life and how to deal with it.
Thank you for continuing to read. Your messages make me feel heard and validated, even when I just talk a load of nonsense. And I genuinely mean that.
See you back here in a couple of weeks!
Enjoy your break, Natalie! FWIW, I love reading your emails in my inbox every week ☺️ I understand the need to take a break, though (it’s why I’ve cut down on my own newsletter during the holidays, too...writing is supposed to be fun and I don’t want it to feel like a chore). Looking forward to reading your Kitchen Diaries posts and your year-end roundup!
